The North Star Inn Lodging offers hospitality to all those who are here temporarily or permanently. Reservations are taken 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Transient facilities include one, two and three bedroom units for families. These units have everything needed to live comfortably while in a travel status, including a full kitchen. Washer/dryers are available either in your unit or in a common laundry room located in the complex.
Temporary quarters are available for people traveling to Elmendorf on official orders. Once assigned an arrival date, travelers may call DSN 317-552-2454 ext. 1118 any time to make a reservation, confirm contract quarters, or receive a statement of non-availability.
All facilities offer daily housekeeping service, wake-up calls, and message service. Rooms are equipped with telephones,
cable television, and refrigerators.
Group Reservations
The following information may be helpful in setting up group reservations at Elmendorf AFB. Your initial reservation can be made with just a general breakdown such as: number of people, ranks, arrival and departure dates. A blocking of the rooms requested would be accomplished at that time and a group reservation number provided to the point of contact. The list should contain the following:
Breakdown of group by:
a. Name
b. Rank
c. Social Security Number
d. Gender
e. Room mates (if required to share)
A firm list is required two weeks prior to arrival, allowing for some last minute changes. If we do not receive this firm list on time, the group reservation will then be cancelled. This is so that rooms can be made available for other reservations.
Individual Reservations
Reservations at Elmendorf Air Force Base are prioritized by the category of the traveler. Personnel traveling on official orders (i.e. TDY to Elmendorf or PCS to/from Elmendorf) are considered Priority One and may make a reservation at any time prior to their travel date. If space is not available for the duration of the stay on base; then Elmendorf Lodging will arrange downtown accommodations at one the commercial hotels.
Personnel in a non-duty status, leave, retired, etc with a valid DoD ID card or those on official orders to other installations in the area are considered Priority Two. Priority Two (Space-available) guests can make reservations from 3 to 30 days in advance depending on the projected occupancy at lodging during the time frame requested. Priority Two guests are allowed to make reservations for up to three days. After three days, Priority Two guests may extend their stay on a day by day basis, space permitting. Priority Two guests are not authorized Commercial Lodging. Please call our office if you have questions regarding your priority.

Important Note: Your reservation is not firm until you receive a confirmation number. Do not assume you have a reservation until you have been given a confirmation number.
