Class Descriptions

Spin Yoga
Approximately 45 min class. A cardio workout on a stationary bike set to music.  This is the perfect class for all levels of fitness ability, as you can set your own pace. A toning and flexibility class focusing on calming the body and careful attention to breathing.
Kickboxing Step
A choreographed hybrid cardio class involving boxing moves and tae-kwan-do style kicking. A high energy class, a good choice for those already actively pursuing an exercise routine. A cardio class using a stepping platform and choreography set to music. Usually best for beginning steppers as the choreography is less complex.
Advanced Step Aqua
A step class set to music with advanced choreography.  This is ideal for those experienced in stepping already and is generally more technically challenging than Step. This is a cardio class taught in the pool.  This class is a good cardiovascular workout designed for minimal impact on the joints and body.  It is an excellent class for those beginning their pursuit of physical fitness or those who have physical limitations.  You do not need to know how to swim to do aqua aerobics!
FitBall Pilates
This is a toning and strengthening class using hand weights and a fit ball (the large inflated ball that aides in toning techniques) and is an excellent class for toning abs, legs, and upper body. A very challenging toning and flexibility method designed by Joseph Pilates.  This class is an intense and difficult class that incorporates all muscle groups and focuses on core (abdominal) strengthening.
Cardio Toning
Classes designated as “cardio” are chosen by the instructor and guarantee a cardio workout, on weekends the cardio portion lasts for the entire hour. There are many possibilities that the instructor has to choose from, determined by their personal certifications, abilities, and if possible, class preference. A toning class is an hour of strength and flexibility exercises.  Depending on the instructor, it may involve hand weights, a fit ball, or flexible tubing.
Prenatal Aqua Circuit Train
A cardio class in the pool, this class is designed primarily for prenatal fitness programs involving cardiovascular health and muscle toning. However, it is not limited to prenatal participants, and is a good class for those recovering from injuries or those that desire minimal impact classes. This class is designed to target arms, chest and abs in preparation for the new Air Force Fitness Test and standards
Muscle Conditioning Circle Step
This class consists of muscle endurance exercises using light free weights, bands, tubing and balls.  Similar to a Power Flex class using dumbbells--lots of variety, choreographed to action-packed music.  No cardio work. A Step class with a twist. A circle format is used to make the choreography more complicated and a more challenging workout, not for beginners.
TBT
A class designed for total body toning, abs, lunges and other toning moves, be prepared to work!
